My Roomba part ($9 spur gear for the top of the brush motor) came in the mail this week and yesterday I had a chance to put the little guy back together. I carefully reassembled his brush motor, then put the rest of him back together... an overnight on the charger and he's as good as new! Yay for me!!

Nice goin' man - I wish I could mend stuff other than borked computers and code...

Maybe you could troubleshoot our Roomba's problems. It's been out of commission for two years because all it does it go around and around in a tight circle.

Do you think you could increase the suction on my Dyson so it's worth the $300 I paid for it, and actually vacuums stuff up instead of just being a coat hanger?

that has got to feel fantastic! i wish i could fix electronics, all i know how to fix are clothes.

@Corey: Roombareview is a great forum, and here's an interesting thread about Roombas going in circles. I'd be happy to take a look at it, although I can't promise I'd be able to resurrect it.

If it is actually a bum wheel, I happen to have a couple of extras from another Roomba that a friend pulled apart and gave me. If they're compatible, I could replace your busted wheel fairly easily.
