I know! I read this shit last night and couldn't believe it either.
wow...and I thought I lived in a small backwards town. (willis, TX Pop. 5000..and that's counting the cows!)
Whoa. Wtf?
holy crap.
[this is good]
See this is what you get when you follow that daylight savings thing. Someone gets left behind and the next thing you know we are 2007 and they are in 1968.
Staggering.
Is dancing even legal there?
the date of posting doesn't say april 1st, but someone could have stuttered on the 1 key.
[this is mind-boggling]

Wow. I'm from the South, and I know things can be pretty backwards there. But still. Just wow.

Going by this article, I'm gonna say... 1948.

Holy crap.

I bet the white students throwing the competing party down by the lake are really sweet folks. :|
I don't find it so odd that the kids segregated themselves into separate parties....I was confused as to why the school had never sponsored a prom in the first place. I could hazard a guess, though. (get it? Hazard...Dukes of...eh, never mind)
...and being a Southerner...I gotta stick up for the region. Obviously...rednecks and morons are in every direction...
wow.

Wow, that's quite a progressive school. I've been arguing in favor of desegregating the southern provinces for years now. Maybe my dream will soon be a reality.

Personally, I think a better prom slogan would have been: two great tastes that go great together.

Wow, I am little shocked
I was thinking "You'll never go back", or perhaps, "We ain't whistlin' Dixie (anymore)".
i wonder if those poor kids know what a computer looks like? they prob do all their learnin' from books.... how sad.
For that area of the south, it's always (and most likely always will be) Jim Crow time. The laws are overturned, but the psychology remains. <sigh>
I'll just reiterate the other posters: WOW
