Beaches
Tomorrow we leave for our awesome honeymoon in Mexico. Ten days of sun, swimming, and Indiana Jones style exploration. I'm feelin' like this:
First thing we're doing is heading to Mexico City to hook up with a
friend of a Vox friend who does tours there. We hav eight hour
layover, so she's cooked up an awesome custom tour for us where she'll
pick us up at the airport, show us some of the sights, and drop us off
in time to catch our plane.
From there we fly to Cancún, where we'll pick up our car and drive to Akumal, where we have a sweeeeeeet casita for a little over a week. During the week we hope to check out the various Mayan ruins in the area, and do some heavy-duty maxin' and relaxin'. There's plenty of swimming, snorkeling, drinking, and eating on the agenda for sure.
After Akumal, we head back to Cancún for K's birthday, for a night at the Ritz-Carlton, and then back to San Francisco.

I can't remember -- did we talk about Akumal? I was there over Christmas in 2003.
Went to this place for a day -- http://www.travelyucatan.com/xel-ha.php -- touristy, but fun. Highly recommended.
